in the Chinatown area of Oahu!

The idea is to celebrate and educate!

Sailor Jerry was a real person, Norman Keith Collins,

with strong ties to Hawaii. He is laid to rest inside

Punchbowl. Look up his documentary on YouTube.

As for the annual festivals themselves:

Think of them as a 'Choose your own Adventure' style event.

Especially due to being a multi-venue gathering,

with a staggered start time approach...

there are multiple things going on all at once.

The winter/sunrise edition is a smaller event.

The summer/sunset festival is larger!

We have had quite a few different styles of music at the events.

Rock, Ska, Reggae, Hawaiian, Metal, Punk, Hardcore, Americana,

Surf, Hip-Hop, Rockabilly, Soul, Acoustic, DJ's, and more.

It tends to be loud, but we're open to all types of music!

The Sailor Jerry Festival celebrates the history of traditional tattoo art and recognizes with compassion the original appropriated art. We have always been inclusive and strive for fair representation. We also thank the people of Hawaii and recognize we are mere guests on their lands.
